Caleb J. Aponte is an attorney who has dedicated his career to seeking justice for the victims of sexual abuse, domestic violence, and combatting human trafficking through the development and implementation of innovative strategies for attacking these issues from all sides. Caleb began his legal career serving as an Assistant Attorney General in the Missouri Attorney General’s Office, where he investigated and prosecuted a variety of civil and criminal cases, including consumer fraud, multi-state consumer protection investigations, sex crimes, murders, public corruption, and human trafficking. During his time at the Missouri Attorney General’s Office, Caleb was a founding member of the Office's Anti-trafficking Unit and was the lead trial attorney for the State in a successful landmark anti-trafficking case. Caleb also served as a Special Assistant United States Attorney at the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Missouri, where he worked through a federal-state partnership to prosecute violent crime and drug trafficking. Caleb has also assisted private sector anti-trafficking efforts as a consultant for several not-for-profit and for-profit anti-trafficking organizations. Caleb is an original member of the Missouri Supreme Court's Combating Human Trafficking and Domestic Violence Commission and continues to serve on this commission. Most recently, Caleb has served as the First Assistant Prosecutor in Washington County, Missouri, where he prosecutes sex crimes, domestic violence, child abuse, human trafficking, murders, and many other crimes. Caleb also has a boutique civil law practice where he represents the victims of exploitation and abuse in civil cases against their abusers and those who enable abuse.
Jeremy Butrous is the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Co-Founder of The CARE Group, an organization dedicated to supporting clergy abuse victims. Jeremy has co-laborated closely with a diverse array of nonprofits, where he has played a pivotal role in driving product development, forging strategic partnerships, and setting ambitious organizational goals. In addition his extensive experience in the nonprofit sector, Jeremy is a prolific writer, having authored and ghostwritten more than 36 books across various genres, showcasing his versatility and depth of knowledge. His passion for theology and, psychology, and communication reflects his commitment to making a positive impact through the written word. Jeremy shares his life in Florida with his wife, Dr. Ally Butrous. Together, the embrace a lifestyle that prioritizes relationships, dedicating their free time to connecting with family and friends. The couple also has a shared love for exploration, often traveling the globe to discover new cultures and experiences that enrich their lives.
